Renew an Active License

New Renewal Requirement Effective September 1, 2020

For licensees who complete the renewal process on or after 9/01/2020 regardless of their license expiration date, a minimum of 1 CCU of Human Trafficking Prevention Training approved by the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is required as mandated in HB 2059 during the 86th Legislature in 2019.

Step-by-step instructions for entering the course on the Continuing Competence Activity Summary, including the standard approval number, are available during the online renewal process.

DO NOT CONTINUE UNLESS YOU HAVE COMPLETED ALL RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS

• CCUs (PT = 30 CCUs, PTA = 20 CCUs) including the TX JAM and Human Trafficking Prevention Training

• Fingerprinting if not previously submitted for initial issuance of a TX license or for a prior TX license renewal or restoration.
  

Log in to complete the CC Activity Summary once you have completed all renewal requirements, then proceed to the payment portion of the renewal process

• You must have a course/activity approval number OR the Accredited Provider number to complete the CC Activity Summary.  Contact the course sponsor if you do not have an approval number or look up pre-approved numbers at CC/CE.
• You will also need your school code to complete the renewal.
