1. Does the PT have to make “last visit”?

The “last visit” is not addressed in the Board’s rules.  The rules do say that there must be a reevaluation prior to a planned discharge, which indicates that the PT must see the patient at some point prior to the last visit.  The PTA may make the last visit and collect final data to report to the PT, but the decision to discharge, and the evaluative portion of the discharge summary,  is the responsibility of  the PT .
